I currently use a Minolta ScanSpeed for scanning 35mm, as well as an Epson Expression 1200U for scanning medium format up to 6 x 9. The ScanSpeed enables high quality 11 x 17 prints whilst the limits for the 1200U are 8 x 10 due to the lower resolution. Drum scans are obtained as the needs requires to supplement the above scanning methods.
For printing, I use the Epson 1200 with can handle print sizes up to 13 x 19. Provided it is fed with a high quality source, the quality that can be obtained is comparable to prints produced using analog methods. The only drawback is the lack of archival qualities that the prints exhibited. Epson have made a major breakthrough and with their recently released printer - the 1270 together with new papers and inks prints that last up to 25 years can now be obtained.
